CHRISTIAN MINORITY (Group A courses only)
In keeping with the
aims of the institution to train individuals for service in needy areas
(especially in Christian mission hospitals), the College will consider any
Christian candidate (who has been a worshiping member of a recognised Church
for a minimum of 5 years) as eligible to be considered in the Minority
quota. Sponsorship as in the past, does not operate as of now for degree (Group A) courses.
The Churches / Organisations who fulfil the following criteria may be recognized to certify candidates as Christian: ü If they are existing members of the CMCVellore Association. ü If as a church they are members of NCCI (National Council of Churches in India) ü Also if they are churches registered with the State or Central Government which are · At least 5 years after registration and · Serve a congregation of min 5000 registered full members
A set format is available for downloading. This may kindly be filled and sent in to the Office of the Council Secretary, Directorate, CMC Hospital Campus, Vellore 632004. Once verified and accepted, the name of the church/ Orgnisation will be displayed on the College website for members to access. |
