CIRCULAR FOR EQAS - 2013

 Dear Participant,
We are sending the below mentioned lyophilized EQAS samples. As soon as you receive the samples check the vials and inform us immediately if there is any breakage or a wrong sample being sent. We find it difficult to resend if informed just before the due dates.

Store them in the refrigerator (2 – 80C) untill analysis. Do not freeze. Please check the labels before you reconstitute.

CHEMISTRY : JANUARY-2013                                                  (Reconstitute with 5ml of distilled water)
IMMUNOASSAY : JANUARY-2013                                            (Reconstitute with 2ml of distilled water)
SPECIAL HORMONES: JANUARY-APRIL 2013                         (Reconstitute with 2ml of distilled water)
MARKERS FOR DOWN’S SCREENING: JANUARY-APRIL 2013 (Reconstitute with 0.5ml of distilled water)
URINE CHEMISTRY: JANUARY-APRIL 2013                              (Reconstitute with 5ml of distilled water)
HbA1C: JANUARY-2013                                                            (Reconstitute with 0.5ml of distilled water)

The reconstituted sample should be analysed on the same day.
For those who are updating the hormone results, please check the units.

Please look for the conversion factors on the back side of this page or on the Home page of the EQAS web site.

The monthly report will be updated into the web on the first working day of the next month.

•Please check the label for the correct month before reconstitution
•Do not reconstitute all the bottles at a time
•Please follow the procedure for reconstitution properly
•Please do not send any results by post or as attachments through e-mails

Looking forward to your valuable cooperation and continued support for the smooth running of this EQAS programme.

  Thanking you,
  Sincerely,

CONVERSION FACTORS FOR THE HORMONES

Dear Participant,
Some labs report hormone results by conventional units and others by SI units. Herewith we give the list of conversion factors needed, if you are reporting in units other than what is used in the CMC EQAS. Please check for the units and do the necessary conversion if needed, before entering the results. If not the VIS score will go wrong.
